Due to Patrick’s new position at Blizzard in Paris, he is unable to participate in or host any game related podcasts, and as a direct result, one of the most unique shows in the WoW podcasting world is coming to an end. Today marks the end of How I WoW, a podcast project conceived by Shawn Basic and his co-host, Patrick.
I had the honor of getting to be on three episodes of HIW over the last couple years. Their first episode, a big group episode in the middle, and now, this final episode. I had a WONDERFUL time, but I was also a little sad. How I WoW deservedly held a special place in wow podcasting, and it will surely be missed by many in our extended community.

Blizzard ought to get smart and pay Patrick (and Shawn) to continue producing “How I WoW” but as an official Blizzard publication. Blizzard’s own WoW podcast has languished to the point that I no longer even bother to see if there’s a new episode.
No offense to Scott but the “How I WoW” podcast was my favorite WoW related podcast. Sometimes we can get so into the stats of the game we can forget that there are real people behind the characters we play with and Shawn and Patrick did a great job of bringing the person out of the character. I will really miss “How I WoW”.
Shawn should find another partner, I hear Mean Gene’s free (or even cheaper now), and keep doing How I WoW!
That would be an awesome pairing.

Aw man, I’m going to miss Patrick in a big way, I always enjoyed his presence on all the broadcasts he was involved with.
But bigger and better things and all that, so a huge congrats to Patrick for his new career, I hope it goes brilliantly!
Your are realy be mist allot , dammm the only french acsent voice lost on allot of podcasts.
