Blizzard has implemented a slew of minor holidays into World of Warcraft over the last few years, and if you only play on one or two days of the week, they’re easy to miss. The very next short in-game holiday is Day Of The Dead, which is set to run from Sunday, Nov. 1 through Monday, Nov. 2. For the duration, you’ve got a chance to obtain some unique items, a very temporary companion pet, and a holiday achievement.
Want to win a Grunty The Murloc Marine in-game pet from Blizzard and The Instance? To win today, just add your thought to the holiday question posed in this thread in The Instance forum before 8PM PDT today (that’s 11PM EDT). One poster wins!

sweet non-combat pets ftw!
interesting… looks like the amazing mexican culture is finally being embraced by an mmo.
that calendar picture in wow looks sick.
:L
I really enjoy holiday’s ingame. I don’t know what about them I like, I think its because I have more fun in the ingame holidays than during holidays IRL, as they are boring.
yeah, although, the first day i did hallows end, i realllllyyy wanted to go out and trick or treat even though it was like a couple weeks early.
Looking foreward it
these are some of my first few ingame events in wow and i think that there are great fun and i enjoy it im not sure if i will in a few more months but i think there great
They really could do much more with this holiday. One achiev and a pet that last a day is all you can do.
I’m way bummed out that the pet is only useable during the holiday, I feel like I’m renting my lil Macabre Marionette for a couple of days. Oh well though, I’m sure he will jump out of the bank next year to party like the crazy lil skeleton he is.
I wish you could keep the pet to show that you completed the achievment.
