Blizz is walking a very fine line between the integrity of the gameworld and coming up with new gimmicks to keep things fun. For people who think Blizz might be crossing some line, then one ideas might be a true RP server with no gimmicky type stuff period (including vanity pets). But I for one don't mind, I mean, like a 5-year old marriage, sometimes you got to shake things up to keep me interested. The achievements associated witht he world events are a good example.
