Big News Of The Week
It’s The Lich King! Run! Run Away!
The “Fall Of The Lich King” patch 3.3 to World Of Warcraft went live this week, bringing nothing resembling a fall of Arthas to the game – yet – but really shook up several aspects of the game, and gave players all over the World (of Warcraft) a lot to do during the holidays and beyond.

Much Ado About The New Hunter Ammo
On the last episode of The Instance, we talked about how engineers would be racing to create the hot new toy for this years Christmas…, I mean… for all the raiding hunter girls and boys to load their bows and guns with. The new Icecrown Citadel faction quartermaster is selling engineering plans for the highest DPS ammo in the game, and the cost is the equivalent of 23 of the new emblems of frost. Sound easy? Well guess what? You can only buy one of them.
Town Cryer
Troy B. who plays on Andorhal writes: Since the new patch came out, I’ve been seeing people with “The Patient” title in their name. How do I get that? Do I have to wait in some queue for a long time or something?
John Z. writes: I play an undead shadow priest on Earthen ring named Jovache (pronounced Joe-vash). I’ve been doing quests I missed in Northrend and I’ve come acorss the need to find Orgrim’s hammer for dailies. My problem with that is it’s constantly on the move. Is there an easy way to find it and if not is there a mod that might help me?

Great episode as usual! I guess I should be listening in live, because I could barely restrain myself during the hunter’s call-in re: gear around 52:20. So I have to vent right meow!
3.3 is pretty much the best thing to happen to the casual player since … ever, but even 3.2 options still exist. Let’s assume you’re that “casual player” that truthfully doesn’t really exist but puts in a few hours each day or second day. Run your heroics, and you’ll end up with a 5-piece T9 set equivalent to ToC10 gear. You’ll also get at least one ring and trinket equivalent to ToC25 gear (oh, and the two pieces of T9.5 equivalent). So those things will pretty much come to you over time. Now let’s look at the new heroics!
Learn to use WoWHead to find items. For example, search for Mail armor drops from heroic dungeons at ilvl 232 – oh, there’s your wrists, belt and boots! Now find some for your finger, neck and oh? A MH weapon and ranged weapon!
It’s not hard to gear out – you just have to know where to look. And those are just heroics. Find Ony 10/25 groups and you’ll have access to even more 232/245 gear. On most servers, she’s a loot pinata.
Great episode guys thanks for putting my what happens of you Mohawk a n elf Mohawk. This podcast makes me laugh till it feels like I’m going to explode! Keep up the good work!!
Great show as usual. My comment is in relation to why people leave a guild in the midst of success. My opinion is that this game is basically all about your personal enjoyment. Doing what you like and lets face it…most people like being “the best’ or uber or elite or whatever. You can’t be the best or uber in a guild where everyone else has downed the same boss as you. Staying in that guild makes you just like everyone else. So some people move up to a more uber, hardcore, or elite guild to get to the next boss/dungeon, or move to a guild that hasn’t yet done what they’ve done.
3.3 has definitely relieved a bit of the “Gearscore Elitism” I’ve seen recently.
Check this out to see what i’m talking about:
Did anyone happen to catch the name of that techno jingle bell song towards the end? I really want to know what the name of it was.
