The Instance #186 – They Just Don’t Sell That Kind Of Sausage In Utah

Big News Of The Week

Another Year, Another Arena Tournament

Blizzard announced the 2010 North American arena tournament this week, and put forth nearly the same template as last year, with a few small changes. The arena tournament is a competition based on the Arena System in World of Warcraft. If you register for the tournament, you will be competing on regional tournament servers — separate from the live servers — for an opportunity to advance and play at the live events and win prizes. The cash prize package for the tournament amounts to more than $200,000.

Rumors And Scuttlebutt

Look All You Want, But Don’t Touch

Would you take a look at that? Blizzard launched a website that robbed millions of people of hours of their lives this week: The Concept Art Gallery. It’s a look back through Blizzard’s artistic history for at least 15 years of color, black and white, pencil, CG, you name it. It’s truly remarkable.

Town Cryer

Magro of Garona writes: I have a farming toon who is an herbalist and a miner. Is there a way to have “Find Herbs” and “Find Minerals” both active at the same time? If not, is there an easy way to switch between the two via key binding or macro?

Leonard S. writes: I am an American high school student on a study abroad scholarship in China. I would love to keep up with your podcasts, but neither the archive.org feed nor the itunes feed work.
Is there any way to get my fix of The Instance from this place?

  1. I just wanted to say thank you for all the advice that you guys give out during your show whether it’s about the game itself, or dealing with people that play. I use a lot of it when I play and it’s made the game a whole helluva lot more enjoyable for me. The show’s great please keep it comin’.

  2. I’d like to thank Scott for standing up to Randy regarding the art gallery. You can’t just take any random picture of a palm tree and put it into the world. There has to be cohesion.

  3. I was listening for the first time ever and I was wondering, why is it that people are so against hunters? I originally started as a mage but got tired since it seemed I was leveling rather slowly. The hunter is SO MUCH FUN! Why do people dis it so much?

  24. Hey guys, you should add a part to the show that is titled “The Crippled Character of the Week” where you pick one NPC and describe what they would be like if they were crippled and how they would become so. Also when is Turpster going to be back on the show? And when will Blizz come out with Chocolate wow…..they already have vanilla.
Love the show and keep it up!

  25. Been listening to the instance for almost a year now and have always been shy to write in because you have so many listeners, so why should my word mean anything? But I’ve decided to take this opportunity to tell you guys how awesome you are. Although I’m not playing WoW right now, listening to the instance makes me miss it, but stay up to date with all of the news. Keep up the great work guys! You never cease to make me laugh!!
