  1. Listen to the talk about flyingmounts and u can let youflyingmount roar on the ground by using /mountspecial command.

  2. LOVE the hunter talk soundbyte. god it made me rofl (yes, I was actually rolling on the floor thankyou)

  3. The Mount looks incredible and you are right if you are paying extra for it why not allow us to customize the colors.
And no I agree I am not spending $25 to buy a mount!

  5. Who wrote that epic song? I would like to download/buy it.

P.S. When’s the next “best of Warcraft music” Instance?

  6. On the forums, I replied to a Blue post about the official magazine whereby the Blue wrote the website. I quoted the post and wrote something along the lines of “www.thatisoneridiculouslylongdomainname.com” and I got banned for a week for “trolling a staff member”. Someone over there was pretty butthurt.

  7. I can’t believe the hipocrisy of denouncing the $25 flying mount and then when the discussion turns to the card game it’s “I’m kinda actually thinking about getting into this.” So, the mount is $25 for an item that you get in the mail on every character that you ever make on any server. But am I supposed to take that QQ seriously when you turn around in fifteen minutes and tell me how cool this card game looks? Starter decks at $11, packs of 19 cards for $3.99 each – how long until you hit $25 in that endeavor?

  8. You can make your flying mount roar on command with a “/” command provided they are on the ground. Just type /mountspecial in the chat bar and it will do it’s roar (if the model has one of course).

  9. Gnomedeplume: The card game is not part of wow. Oh sure, it’s based on its world, lore and characters, but it is a separate enterprise. By your logic, I am a hypocrite if I go buy a copy of Monopoly. :)

Seriously though, the card game is its own thing, and does not require a wow account to play it…at all.

  10. You played my call! at the end of the show! EPIC sweet tytytyty that made my day!…

  11. Scott: I probably didn’t do a very good job illustrating my point, and I may fail this time as well but it will be my last attempt :-) I know what the card game is and that it isn’t part of WoW, that really has nothing to do with my statement. When you talked about the mount, $25 was too much to spend on pixels in a vidya game (“If this is 25 I don’t want it”). That’s fine – everybody has their standards. Dills said straight out that he doesn’t spend any more than his sub fee in regards to WoW. I was attempting to point out that there is no difference between throwing money away on a RMT item in WoW and dropping similar amounts on decks of cards for the TCG but you were in favor of one and not the other. There is no difference. It’s just an example of personal preference. In other words: I’ll buy the mount and you buy $25 worth of TCG cards; we’ll both look pretty silly trying to convince the other he wasted his money on something stupid.

I hope that clears things up a bit.

  12. I bought the Celestial Steed from the Blizzard Store last year and within hours I regretted it. When I logged in the game, everyone was on one. Everyone. It immediately lost it’s allure and “cool factor” and it didn’t take long before I decided that it was actually quite an ugly mount.

I never use it, even on alts. I’d rather spend the alt’s gold on it’s racial mount instead.

While the new Winged Guardian looks 1000 times better than the Celestial Steed, I foresee the same problems with it. Everyone is going to have one, so it has zero exclusivity. Sure, it’s gorgeous, but I’ll just feel like I’ve wasted my money.

The main thing that’s keeping me from buying it, however, is that it’s a lion. In WoW, lions mean Alliance. I play Horde. If they come out with a badass-looking mount that looks more Horde-like, I might consider buying it.

  13. Hi guys,
Loved your show and really really loved the song you played at the end, I’m listening to it right now on the interwebz.

  14. There is a big difference between the cards and the mount. I already have mounts in the game. I have mounts I really like. I do not have any of the card games. I think it sounds really fun to play the games with friends. I don’t think it sounds fun to fly on a new mount that cost me 25 dollars. And $25 isn’t really a lot to me (I spend that on one meal quite often) but it is a lot when I pay 15 bucks for a whole month of gametime. I appreciate your point though, I just don’t agree that they are as similar as you are making it out to be. Also, you called us hypocrites. That bugs me.

  15. I know you said the name of that awesome song is AIE by Matthew Oxley, but I can’t find it anywhere. I looked at your site, I looked at AIE’s site, YouTube, I even asked google and I still can’t find it! Can someone point me in the right direction? Or teach me to search? Haha

  16. Heya i am for the primary time here. I found this board and I in finding It truly helpful & it helped me out much. I’m hoping to offer one thing back and help others such as you aided me.
