  1. Patricks mods are great – HOWEVER, could or both of these be done to improve visibility?

    - Include the “Mod of the week” name in the main show notes, as they are absent. After I have listened to a show I go and look at the show notes (from the main RSS feed) and the mods are not listed in there.

    - Have a separate RSS feed of this page

  2. Lightheaded is just what I needed. Alt Tabbing to look things up every 5 minutes was becoming a huge chore and actually turning me off from playing the game. Thanks bro!

  3. I need hekpl installing mods because i dont see any thing that says “unzip” when i right click on the mod. Can someone plz help me?

  4. Ok, when installing mods u’ve downloaded, don’t do wat it says on Curse.com, you don’t have to make a ‘My Mods’ folder, all u have to do is download the mod, right click the zipped file and it should say, “Extract all files” either on the drop box or on the side (left side). Ok, now when u click on extrat files, at the top click on browse. Then, click ‘My Computer’ then click ‘Local Disk (C:)’ then scroll down to ‘Program Files’ then scroll down almost to the bottom, and click ‘World of Warcraft’ last click ‘Interface’ then ‘Addons’ and DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING IN ADDONS!!! just click ok then next and when its finished click finish and your done, make sure WoW is shut down completely when u do this. Your Welcome!

  5. Patrick, I couldn’t figure out how to contact you for mod ideas so i guess i’ll just post them here and hope you see it.

DeuceCommander- An Ace2 addon that provides sticky (or menued) interfaces for most ace2 addons. Say goodbye to endless lists of /commands for ace addons, with deucecommander just right click deuce commander or the deuce commander fubar plugin and select the addon of your choice fromt he dropdown list. Deuce commander is available at files.wowace.com

Possessions- An addon to keep track of your characters items. Very useful for players with many different characters. Say you are on Char A and are looking for some [item]. Simply type /poss and type the item you’re looking for in the search box. Possessions checks all characters on the same account for the item. Possessions records what items are in a characters inventory, being worn by the character, in the inbox, in the bank, and in the latest update, what is in their guild bank as well.

When an item is found it is listed describing what character and where on that character.

    Example: [Item X]
    2 in Char A’s bank
    3 in Char B’s inventory
    1 in Guild Z’s bank

Possessions is downloadable from various sources, one of which is curse-gaming @ http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/1404/

I hope one or both of these addons could be featured in your tip of the week in the future patrick!

  6. I would like to hear Patrick’s thoughts about Healbot. It is nice mod that allows for multiple interfaces with healing using the buttons on the mouse. It also provides a very nice visual as the players take damage and assigns numerical values which help in avoiding overhealing.

  7. I know this is more work for Randy, but I would find it more useful to have the most recent addition to the list at the top.

  8. What happened to updating the mod list during the show eh Randy? I might have to go loco….

  9. Patrick (or anyone else:) Is there any other site for the “Dailies” addon? I’d like to have it, but incgamers have had so many infestations of malware (keyloggers, trojans) installed via their banner adds, that I consider it too dangerous a site to visit; I have gone so far as to firewall it from my home network, and at work (where I am the IT tech).

  10. Guys, I’ve sent an e-mail about this but anyway, here it goes!
I desperately need Deposit Box back… I’ve looked it up after patrick mentioned it on his mod review and he distinctly said it was not updated for the new patch. Is there another mod that has the same features (like percentage direct deposit, maximum amount of gold in the bag, stuff like that)?

Tx a lot and looking forward to your new episode!
For the horde!!!! (Although, I’m alliance)

  11. ArkInventory a really nice bag addon, you can very flexible filter items according to different criterias.

PallyPower, I require it for all paladins in our guild, as it simplifies the setup of pally blessings a lot !!

QuestHelper just found it, it checks your quests and shows the positions on where to obtain q-items and turn in locations on the map. additional it calculates a ‘travelling salesman’ type of path and shows it. really sweet. (Dailies are handled as well:D)

HealBot, I like it much more then grid, it shows also incoming healing on all targets, does ofc decursing as well.

  12. I desperatly want to know if there is some kind of mod for mob cast bars. I currently use Xperl and it shows a small castbar, I also use the default one in the UI but i find them just too small and un practical… Can you help me patrick? please!

  13. hey guys, I’ve hear in 104 that you knew them already, cool, do you mind sharing more of the addons that you are using and find really nice but are not listed.
Things like arkinventory are kind of basic addons which are just a must have and hardly to ‘forget’ so what other addons can you share with us ?

  14. You have one of the mods above as “Omen Thermometer – As heard in The Instance #101″ I think you mean Omen Threat Meter….
    :)

  15. What happened to “Oh I have just updated Patrick’s Mod List” right after the segment is played, Riker?

  16. So one of the bonuses of #79′s Bosstalk is that you can assign the phrases to accomany virtually any action in the game…let some juicy quotes from the Huntsman go when you release your pet, and you can choose multiple phrases for each action, and it will randomly choose which one to say.

  17. All hail Patrick! You are obviously a most, most excellent fellow indeed!

    Thanks be to you.

  18. I used Igor’s Mass Auction and loved it for all the auction house item i would post. As of 2.4 it broke was wondering if there is other mods that will give me the ability to post multiple items at a time. Love the show keep up the great work… Grimmly…Thunderhorn US

  19. Livestock > Gogo Mounts

Gogo mounts is only mounts. Livestock also handles your pets.

Livestock, not only is smart, as in if you are in Azeroth it brings out land mounts, if you are in Outlands it brings out flying mounts, if you are in Northrend and under 77 it brings out land mounts, once you are over 77 it brings out flying mounts. If you are in Dalaren ( a no fly zone) it brings out land mounts.

It has some cool features, like it either creates a Macro button that you can key-bind, or it creates a special buttons.

    A critter button for pets.
    A land mount button.
    A flying mount button.
A smart button, that will choose the correct type of mount based on location.

It can also bring out different pets on event. Dismount, a new pet comes out, enter an instance a new pet comes out.

And it is currently being updated, unlike Gogo.

  20. WoWmatrix = awesome. love that mod/addon database. i say everyone should use it. patick you are the man.

  21. Update, Gem Finder only has gems from Outlands, does not have the new Northrend gems sorry

  22. Patrick, I use the addon gemhelper as a JC’er and it does exactly what you are talking about in game. check it out. You could even use it if you are not a JC’er to find the exact gem you are looking for.

    I love it

  23. Hey Patrick. Love your work. I use many of the mods listed here, but my favorite mod by far is Autobar. I haven’t ever heard it get any press and it doesn’t seem to be a popular download on Curse, so I thought maybe you could check it out and talk it up for me. Its gives you a few bars that autopopulate with various types of items (i.e. button for healing potions, button for mounts, etc) and each button on the bar expands to a sub-bar on mouseover which shows you all of those type of item, so you instantly have access to everything with one click.

THX PATRICK!! XD keep up the good work

  26. omg i just realised you left to work for blizzard thats so sad…

good luck man and have fun working there

  27. I didn’t see Auctionator anywhere?

If you think Auctioneer is sweet, you’ll fall in love with Auctionator!

It’s main function is storing a list of items that you search for, each listed in order from cheapest to most expensive. Plus it makes relisting items for sale a LOT easier on the Auction House.

It’s the low key addon that only a few gold guides mention, but it’s a beast in the Auction House!

  28. What was that mod they talked about to track XP and when you will level? I think it was in the shows between 150 and 155. lantrix is right they need to add the mods they talked about to the show notes.

  29. I just downloaded and tested a new addon for my tank, called Taunt Master. It is kind of like healbot for tanks and I have a feeling it will become fairly popular. I was released earlier this year and had a bt of a shakey start. Ive tanked for 5 years without it, so its not like its needed, but I think it will help out my performance a little bit (especially against large groups of mobs) and will at least alleviate a little of the stress of tanking (though all I do is tank). Check it out! :)
