World First Level 90 Gets Rolled back to 87

The mad dash of World First’s per expansion of WoW is always a bigger deal among the hardcore-types. This time around, the World’s First player to level 90 was Fs of Revancrest after about 5 hours after the game was released in that region. The wrinkle here is that Blizzard rolled back this player to 87 for an alleged ”exploit” utilizing a buff. And I only say “exploit” as it was the only thing mentioned that could have been construed as cheating.

So far there hasn’t been much of an explanation on Blizzard’s side as to why this has happened, or why the character was reset to 87 versus 85. Below is a video of one of the players who helped Fs reach 90:

  1. After listening to that, I think Blizzard may have got it wrong. Why should this guy get punished for Blizzards oversight? If the issue was the buff, not the farming, then they need to Nero the buff, not the player.

  2. I am thinking he is use the buff from monster to get a big damage increasement. So I think it is not fair to make him bad person. Blizzard had been not fair with Korean people who like Diablo 3 game too. I am very angry about Blizzard for that – but also happy cause my Diablo 3 hunter is so good.

Still I think this guy is not so good for our society he must study and do a good job in real world as well. I am having a rest at home and spending times with my family. I think this kind of guy is a little crazy to play so long like he want to 90 level. I like to play game too but I still on level 81! My girlfriend is very good at making me not want to game so much :) Ha ha… sound like this guy play on the toilet …. he play like this:

Fs: Ohhh I am klling many mobs level 81 I will be number 1! I am ***FARTTTTTTT******
Friend: Oh you farting very loud- I told you not eat many foods before the game launch.
Fs: I know but I love hamburger so much. Sorry.

    —- later—-

Fs: Great I am level 90! I am Number 1! Oh Wow! Oh **** POOOOOOPPPP FARRRRTTTTTT **** Oh no I poop my pants! I get my mother!

Freind: Oh you are stinky butt pooer. I told you no pizza and hamburger before the game launch now you shoot poops all over your computer chair!

Fs: That’s ok. I buy another. I am number ONE player so I am rich and famous now!

Friend: No you not Blizzard nerf you because you stink like poopy hamburger.

Fs: I am very sad now. Sorry I am going afk off vent to wash my anus. It is very dirty.

Friend: Ok. Bye bye. Have a good time.

  3. I heard about this on launch night, but paid no attention to it. If it was just a buff that they used, and then simply farmed the mobs with it, I don’t see how this is an exploit. I know of other companies who would consider this creative use of game mechanics, because that’s all this is.

It’s not cheating if they simply used at legit tactic and a buff given by killed mobs. Blizzard jumped the gun and have ruined this guy and his guild’s reputation.
